The Script Reader’s Verdict

A professional screen-experience review before your script faces the industry.

The refund promise

Refunds

One guarantee, and it has teeth.

The guarantee

We guarantee that your entire script is read — every page, FADE IN to FADE OUT, in order, under the same controlled conditions every read gets.

If the read cannot be completed on our side, you are told plainly and your payment is refunded in full. We would rather return your money than hand you a verdict we don’t believe in.

Turned away at upload — before anything is spent

The door checks your file before your seat is used for anything. A script that is not in English, runs over 125 pages, is a television script while that lane is closed, is not a screenplay, or is a file the house cannot read, is turned away there, in a plain sentence, with nothing spent — and your seat is kept for the right file. If you cannot supply a file the read can take, write to us and a paid seat is refunded in full.

When a refund is given, and when it is not

The read is the service. Once your script has been read — every page, first to last — the read has been delivered, and your documents are its record. Payment is for that read.

If a part of a document reaches you incomplete, or a page of it does not meet our own standard, that is ours to make right: we correct it and send it again, at no charge. An incomplete page is not an unread script, and it is not grounds for a refund.

A refund in full is given when the read did not happen: it was interrupted on our side and could not be completed, or your script was turned away at upload and you could not supply one the read can take. In each case you are told plainly and your payment is returned.

A refund is not given for a change of mind after the read, for a script changed after it was submitted (a changed script is a new read), or for disagreement with a finding — every finding is our considered opinion, measured against the professional standard and comparable produced work, and every one ends in your ruling: APPLY · MODIFY · DECLINE · OPEN.

Free seats

Free seats are free. There is nothing to pay, and so there is nothing to refund.

Anything else

Writing in another language? It’s coming.

Today The Script Reader's Verdict reads scripts written in English. Native-language reads are coming soon, and each language opens only once it has been proven on real screenplays written in it. If you would like to hear the moment yours opens, write to us: support@lovingmywords.com.
