The Script Reader’s Verdict

Your Script Remains Yours

Your screenplay or teleplay remains your intellectual property. SRV does not use your script, scenes, dialogue, characters, ideas, or delivered analysis to train AI models, develop other writers' projects, create examples, market the service, sell or license content, or for any purpose unrelated to providing your SRV read. Your work is processed only as necessary to complete the evaluation you requested. Your script and your SRV results are not shared with other writers or customers.

Where an AI service provider is used to perform the read, portions of your script may be transmitted to that provider solely to process your SRV evaluation, subject to the provider arrangements described in our Privacy Notice.

Your script

Your script reaches the house’s own server for one reason: to run your read there. It is held only while your read runs, and it is deleted at delivery — and if you stop a read, your pages and everything the read has made from them are deleted then. If a read fails, your pages are deleted then too, and only the read’s finished parts are kept (they can quote short lines of your pages), so that uploading the same script restarts it without paying for anything twice; they are deleted at delivery, or thirty days after the read stopped. If the house pauses a read (its own spending limit, or the reading service’s), or a read is interrupted on our side (our server restarted while it ran), your pages and its finished parts are kept so that the house can resume it from where it stopped — nothing more is asked of you. When the reading service paused it, the house retries it by itself, up to six times over about a day and a half, and after that the house resumes it by hand once the service is back; an interrupted read the house resumes by itself at once, and again if it must, up to six times over about a day, and after that by hand; when the house’s own limit paused it, it resumes when the house lifts that limit. A paused or interrupted read that has not resumed within thirty days is deleted, pages and finished parts. We do not use your work to train anything. We never share it, never republish it, and never show it to another writer.

The read runs on our server and our account. Our server sends your pages to the reading service that reads them, and nowhere else — the provider arrangement: each request goes out with the service’s storage option switched off, solely to process your read, and nothing comes back to us but the read itself. What the house then keeps is your finished documents — THE SCRIPT VERDICT and THE SCREEN ELEVATION BRIEF — with the house’s own record of the read (THE RECORD OF THE READ, which stays with the house), in one folder, so you can download them again; that folder is deleted thirty days after delivery. The house’s ledger holds counts, codes and one-way fingerprints, never a word of your text.

If you claim a free seat

The door sends your name and your email address to our own server, only to issue your seat, to keep to one free seat per writer, and so a person can answer you. Our seat records keep a one-way fingerprint of your email for the one-seat rule, and your name and email in a contact record for the owner; we count claims per connection to stop abuse. Your seat code is shown on your screen, once — that is the copy to keep. What is emailed to you: when the house’s mail is switched on, a copy of your seat code (and of the link to the door) is sent to the email you gave — at the claim, or the one you gave at checkout — and one short note when your documents are ready; never a word of your script, and to no one else. The screen that shows your code says whether a copy went; while the mail is off, nothing is emailed.

If you buy a seat

Payment is taken by Stripe; your card details never reach this website. When you return to the door, our server reads your checkout from Stripe only to confirm the payment and issue your seat, and keeps a one-way fingerprint of the email on your receipt beside your seat — so that, when the television lane opens, a seat can see only its own writer’s series.

If you write for television: the series record

The television lane opens soon. Until it does, no television seat is sold and no television script is read. When it opens, a pilot review opens a series record under your seat, so a later Episode Review of the same series is read knowing the pilot. The record holds the show’s name from the title page, the main cast, the world and the setting, the tone and the format lane — a fingerprint of the series, never the script — not one line of its text. It is used only for the same writer’s later Episode Reviews of that series — the same email, picking the show from their own list; never for another writer, never shared; each Episode Review extends the record, so episode five is read knowing one to four. It is deleted whenever the writer asks. Nothing is ever written on your script.

If you answer “Help Us Improve SRV”

After your read, the door asks five short questions under “Help Us Improve SRV”. If you answer them, your answers — the choices and anything you type in the two text boxes — are kept on our own server beside your seat’s one-way fingerprint, never with your name, email or address and never with a word of your script, only to improve SRV. They are kept for as long as SRV is offered, unless you ask us to delete them. They are never published, and never used as a testimonial or in marketing without your separate permission.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics on your writing.
  • No profiles.
  • No quiet copies kept behind your back.
  • No analytics and no third-party trackers on this website.

Deletion, whenever you ask

You may ask us to delete your documents, your contact record, your series record, your feedback answers and your seat records at any time, and the answer is yes. One honest boundary: order and transaction records — that a purchase happened, its reference, its date and its amount — are kept only as long as accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal obligations require. We will not promise to erase what the law requires us to keep.

Asking us anything

Questions, rights requests and concerns go to support@lovingmywords.com. Where any wording differs, the stricter protection of the writer governs.

Writing in another language? It’s coming.

Today The Script Reader's Verdict reads scripts written in English. Native-language reads are coming soon, and each language opens only once it has been proven on real screenplays written in it. If you would like to hear the moment yours opens, write to us: support@lovingmywords.com.
